Geauga Renaissance Singers

Do you remember the joy that choral singing has brought to your life, especially at the holiday season?  Then you may be just what the Geauga Renaissance Singers need.  Most Singers are former members of high school or college choruses or sing in church choirs.  The Singers perform a varied program and volunteer to take their four part harmonies to nursing homes, Captain’s games and the Great Lakes Mall among other venues. They practice on Thursday mornings at 10:30 at the Chardon Senior Center near the hospital and most performances are on Thursday afternoons.  If you would like to give it a try, just show up on a Thursday morning.  Snowbirds are welcome.  No audition necessary.

Geauga Lyric Theater Guild

Announcing...A Season of Laughter  2015-2016

Main Stage Season

As Geauga Lyric Theater Guild embarks on its 61st year, we are delighted to present you with a Season of Laughter, shows to tickle your funny bone, lighten your mood, stretch your imagination and cure what ails you…..
“Humor is infectious. The sound of roaring laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle, or sneeze. When laughter is shared, it binds people together. Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.”

Show #5: Lie, Cheat and Genuflect
The Buckle brothers, Billy and Tom, are in big trouble: Tom's infallible eye for slow horses has drained away all of Billy's savings and he has borrowed from loan shark Pizza Face Petrillo, who now wants his money back or else! Involve a stuffy young lawyer, a hard drinking, man hungry housekeeper and a trio of beautiful young women, and you have the recipe for a laugh packed farce of twists, turns, puns and pratfalls as Tom strives mightily to compensate for Billy's "habitual" errors.

Show #6: Spamalot
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. Did we mention the bevy of beautiful show girls?
