All day, during the Arts Jam we will have several featured bands playing live music! Check out the exciting line up below:
Shivering Timbers - from 12:00-1:00 p.m features Sarah who is their captivating singer -- part P.J. Harvey, part Patsy Cline, coupled with Jayson's guitar work as the perfect mate to her sultry vocals. Live performances are energized by the percussive mastery of Dan Kshywonis on drums. Shivering Timbers were discovered by Dan Auerbach, a member of the Black Keys’, and played at his birthday party!.
Erie Heights Brass Ensemble – from 1:45-2:30 p.m named for the small crossroads community overlooked on the Lake, was formed on a windy day in March of 1999. They perform about thirty concerts a year. These venues have included parks, malls, churches, libraries, etc. for both community and private events. Once or twice a year, the group performs an educational concert in the schools..
Steve Madewell and the Next Best Thing from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Steve Madewell is a singer song-writer who enjoys finding inspiration for his musical stories in the world around us. He has a knack for turning a phrase until it captures and reflects a unique insight that might otherwise be lost.
Juke Joint Junkies - 4:30-5:30
Band specializing in Honky Tonk, Blues, 50’s, Classic Country and originals in three styles. Someof their songs are “That’s Alright, Mama,” Folsum Prison, Jambalaya, The Wanderer and many more
Shakespeare for All!
Meet Queen Elizabeth I herself – kids can even have “Tea with the Queen” from 2:00-3:00
Join Great Lakes Theater actors Deb Cluts and Tim Keo for some rousing scenes from Shakespeare – you can watch or you can join in!
Enjoy Shakespearean music played by Bob Bellamy and Wendy Barlow on the hammered dulcimer the harp!

The Arts Jam is a showcase for the performing and visual arts and features more than 100 artists and performers, highlighting music, dance, drama, the visual arts and literature! The day will include performances, workshops and many family-friendly activities such as face painting, acrobatics, storytelling, juggling, the popular Graffiti Wall for kids and much more. What makes this different from other arts festivals is that it is interactive. You will be learning, trying things out, and maybe taking things home! Artists currently lined up are: Steve Madewell, Bill Lestock, Erie Heights Brass Ensemble, Zentangle Art, and theater workshop with Julie Douglass, Steve Guttierez and many more!
